Reed Gibby

Reed was born and raised in Burley, Idaho. He attended Ricks College and BYU for a short time before returning to farm with his father and brother in 1981. In the late 80’s and early nineties, he began understanding the value of whey and whey products. Reed then began marketing whey products to area dairies. In 1999 he built a 1200 sow farm to utilize the whey products and market swine to the roaster hog market in California. Eventually the farm grew to a 4200-sow farm.
Other opportunities later arose to manage various waste streams for different processing facilities. Currently Gibby Group manages the co-products for many food companies throughout the United States.
Reed married Andrea Sagers in 1984. Together, they have raised five children. Reed loves spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is very appreciative to the community and all who have helped Gibby Group in so many ways.

Ben Gibby

Ben graduated from Brigham Young University with a business management degree. During his time at college, he taught Spanish at the Missionary Training Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
His work experience includes crop farming (conventional and organic production), hog production, organic dairy production, beef cattle production, feed milling management, and other agricultural activities.
He currently has the role of farm operations manager for Gibby Group with thousands of acres under management.

Joe Neil Swenson

Joe spent the first 20 years of his career with the Hill-Rom Company, Inc., a medical device company based in the State of Indiana. His last position was President of Hill-Rom Europe with manufacturing operations and distribution throughout Western Europe.
He then served as President and CEO of two technology companies – Imagine Learning (the largest digital curriculum provider to K–12 schools in the U.S. and DynaVox Systems (the leading provider of speech communication devices and symbol-adapted special education software). In 2006, DynaVox Systems was recognized as the Life Sciences Company of the Year and Joe as CEO of the Year by the Pittsburgh Technology Council. For several years he served as Vice Chairman and board member of the Utah Technology Council.
Joe and his wife Jolene recently returned from serving as President and Matron of the Concepción Chile Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint having previously served as Mission Leaders in the Chile Concepción South Mission.
Joe is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Gibby Group headquartered in Burley, Idaho. In addition, he serves as a board member for the Academy for Creating Enterprise which teaches people how to start and run businesses currently operating in the Philippines, western Africa, Mexico and most countries in South America.
He received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Brigham Young University.

Skye Root

Skye is the Founder of Root Agricultural Advisory where he manages and grows farmland portfolios throughout the Western USA. Skye is also a FINRA licensed investment banker with Galena Capital where he focuses on food and agriculture opportunities.
He formerly worked as a Senior Vice President for Westchester Group Investment Management, a global farmland asset manager. Prior to Westchester, he was a water rights consultant for WestWater Research, a leading advisory firm in the water rights industry. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado & Utah, holds Series 63 and 79 licenses through FINRA, and is a graduate of Leadership Idaho Agriculture.
Skye has served or serves on many boards and committees, including the Gibby Group, American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), CFA Society of Idaho, Young Investors Society, Boy Scouts of America, BYU Management Society, Farmer to Farmer, and Realtors Land Institute (RLI). He was named the 2022 ASFMRA Farm Manager of the Year and RLI National Broker of the Year (2020 & 2021) for Cropland.
In his spare time, he enjoys teaching and farming. In addition to teaching for the ASFMRA, he consistently teaches economics and personal finance at the university level. Skye grew up on a large organic alfalfa and cow-calf operation and along with his wife, Becca, and their four children, still runs cattle with his parents and helps when he can on the family operation. Skye’s hobbies include church service, snowmobiling, airplanes, and triathlons.

Monte joined Gibby Group in October of 2007 working in the office in account payables and account receivables along with many other office responsibilities. He joined the company in its early stages of expansion and has had an opportunity to grow within the company and play a key role in the support of its growth through the years. In his current role as CEO, Monte enjoys managing and being part of the team that helps make Gibby Group the company it is today.
Monte enjoys continued learning opportunities and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Boise State University.
Monte grew up on a dairy farm and spent part of his early career as a farmer and dairyman in south central Idaho. He is married with three kids and three grandkids and enjoys spending time with his family.

Doug Holmes

Professional Experience:
Doug spent his early career in the telecommunications industry with MediaOne Group, a fortune 100, international telecommunications company that was sold to AT&T in 2000. At MediaOne Doug held various positions including CFO and Executive Vice President of strategy, corporate development and technology. Prior to his work at MediaOne, Doug was a strategy consultant with Booz Allen and Hamilton. During this time Doug also served on several company boards including: Time Warner Entertainment, IPIX, InfoGear, and Time Warner Telecom.
Doug has served in several capacities for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including mission president of the Michigan Detroit Mission 2010-2013, counselor in the Young Men General Presidency 2015-2020 and most recently as mission president of the SLC Headquarters mission 2022-2024. Doug has also served in multiple volunteer positions including board chair of the Academy for Creating Enterprise, Children First Education Fund, Parents for Choice in Education and United Way of Davis Co.
For the last several years Doug has been an active investor and consultant in various real estate and business ventures. Doug is married to Erin Toone and they are the parents of six children and 17 grandchildren. Doug received his bachelors in family science and Master of Business Administration from Brigham Young University.

Tim Brady

Professional Experience:
Tim Brady currently oversees Corporate Risk Management for Agri Beef, a vertically integrated, branded beef company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. In this role, he is responsible for the oversight and execution of the company’s hedge strategy including monitoring and managing key financial and commodity risk exposures. Tim also sits on the management committee for Treasure Valley Grain, an integrated grain processor in Nyssa, Oregon. Prior to joining Agri Beef, he worked as a Portfolio Manager overseeing equity and fixed income strategies for high-net worth and institutional clients. Tim holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and attended Boise State University as a student-athlete earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
Tim After Work:
Tim is married with four wonderful children. While he enjoys golf, flyfishing, and hunting, these hobbies have mostly been replaced with serving on school/church boards, volunteering for multiple youth sports organizations, and working on house and small farm projects. He is a member of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Long Range Planning Committee, 21st Century Beef Forum and serves on the Bishop Kelly Foundation Board.

Dan Cook

Professional Experience:
Dan Cook is the CEO of PDQ, a Salt Lake City based software company in the IT Asset Management space. Prior to joining PDQ, Dan was the Chief Revenue Officer at Lucid Software. He previously held roles at Polaris Venture Partners where he focused on growth stage company investing, and at Piper Jaffray as a corporate finance analyst.
Dan received an MBA from Harvard Business School and has bachelors degrees in Accounting and Economics from Brigham Young University. He is married to his better half Jamie and they are the parents of four children.
